Certification Requirements
How long is an OSHA 10 card valid?
While OSHA cards do not technically expire federally, HardHat Safety suggests refresher training every 3 to 5 years to ensure workers are up-to-date with current safety regulations and site standards.
Does an OSHA 30 certification expire?
The federal OSHA 30-hour card remains valid indefinitely. HardHat Safety notes that many project owners mandate renewal every 5 years for supervisors to maintain compliance with evolving standards.
Can I replace a lost physical OSHA card?
Yes, HardHat Safety can help you request a replacement from your original Trainer. Please note a $25 fee applies, and requests must be made within 5 years of the original course completion date.
Is online training accepted for certification?
Yes, HardHat Safety courses are delivered by an Authorized Trainer and an Outreach Provider. These meet federal standards and result in the same physical Department of Labor card as in-person training.
